This hurts me more than it hurts you... Last Friday I over-heard my co-employee's intern (who works on our floor) that her day wasn't going well because she just hit someone's car in the work parking-lot. Naturally I didn't think anything of this until security called me... They uttered the words, "we think you car has been hit again"! Notice the words - we think & hit again - last year around this time my car was hit that the same lot. I jumped out of my chair, ran down, I already knew my car was hit before they confirmed it because of the intern story I over-heard, and that fact is that I have MISERABLE car luck (more on that later).
By the time I had reached the car I was a little upset, not so much that my car was hit, but at the amount of time it was going to take to fix this. The intern had basically driven down the entire left side of car! She tried to rub away the the dents/sctraches, and I was like save yourself, you can't rub out a dent! So, there I was in the parking lot: comforting a now crying intern, looking at my damaged car, and having security telling me that I don't HAVE to go through insurance. What a mess! Can someone hold me, and tell me it is going to be ok??
I am still dealing with her insurance company because they are like the DMV only there to help you when you are about to loose it with them. I will let you know the final outcome whens it happens. I will probably take it to the same repair shop that fixed my car the last time, it was hit by someone when I was at work.
Take it from me: working at your desk and then getting a call telling you that your car has been hit when you were not in it, SUCKS! *sigh* All right that was my vent.
