I Got Pulled Over

Normally the above title would not shock people that know the way I drive, however, I couldn't believe that I got pulled over... LA is currently cracking down on everything car related. The city is broke (along with the state itself), and there have been increased amounts for parking tickets, more people pulled over on the road, and more cops enforcing the law. Nothing is going to save you from the cop/succubus trying to take your money, not even being on the reality TV show The Hills. Check out this article on Stephanie Pratt being pulled over for a DUI. California is currently facing a $42 billion dollar deficit. due to this deficit everyone is feeling the crunch - including myself last Friday night. It was early in the night, and I was driving home from the movies, stone-cold-sober, and saw the flashing lights in my review mirror. Naturally, I thought to myself that must be for someone else, but then I realized it was for me! Before I pulled completely over I realized that I was a fix-it ticket waiting to happen. I didn't have my license plates, my insurance, registration, and drivers license. Basically, I think they could lock me up at this point. I was so scared!!! I could imagine calling my mom, and crying because they would impound my car. The officer approached my car, and I tried to keep my cool, by asking what was wrong. He stated that they didn't see my proof of purchase sticker on my car, since I didn't have my license plates, which sounded like a made up reason anyways. Then he asked to see my license. UGH! I told him about how the DMV was closed down due to furlong, and that I had my appointment next week to get it, and asked if my passport would suffice. He decided that would work to look me up. However, the car isn't in my name either, it is in my moms! I am not sure why, but they let me go! Technically, I didn't do anything wrong, but didn't have anything I needed to drive.

I learned a valuable lesson: have everything in your car, so if the cops pull you over, there is nothing to worry about!
*Drivers License - check
*Insurance & Registration - check
*License Plates - check
*Proof of Purchase stickers, if no plates - check

Count Down To Blastoff

I finally fixed all of the bugs with my blog template, with the help of a lovely friend David. We made it our mission to fix the problems I was having with my title, leaving comments, and the extra widget box. Us vs the HTML code, and we beat it!!!!! I hope you like the layout, and please feel free to leave a comment because now you can. Now I can focus on car content all the time!

Cars for Sunny Weather

Like a kid with ADD, so is our weather here in Southern California! The other day it was raining, and people were wearing jackets, and today 90 degrees, and you could be on a boat. I'm on a boat!
However, when you are not on a boat, you should be in a car. A great car with the top-down, perhaps, cruising along the beaches or the canyons. Below is a tribute to convertible cars.

Blame It On The Rain, yeah yeah...

Millie Vanilli keeps running through my head. Blame it on the rain... LA was put on "STORM WATCH" the other day... Now for most people/cities this would mean storms of dangerous proportions such as: typhoons, tornadoes, and even snow storms. However, for LA this means a light drizzle, or possibly five-minutes of solid rain. People just freak out, and don't know what to make of the foreign liquid falling from the sky. This turns the roads in video-game like conditions were people crash all the time... According to Daily News L.A., the CHP said there were 186 traffic accidents on L.A. County freeways between midnight and 6 a.m. today compared with just 19 during the dry weather a week earlier. I know there is a combination of things that add to all of the crashes like the gas/oil that rises to the top of the roads, but can people try to pull it together? I generally avoid the freeways at all cost when it rains, and I suggest you do the same. Enjoy the videos below mocking all of us in LA.

Slaying HTML dragons for you!

I have embraked upon a epic journey of HTML proportions. See I want the layout of this blog to be great, so that maybe, one day, I could share it with everyone that loves cars. Actually, I am not even sure if anyone reads this... However, I currently love the blog template that I am using, but I was tragically unaware that the comments didn't work :( So, I made it my mission to correct this this egregious error. Many "how to" websites were looked at, but I just jumped in, and started deleting and changing HTML code like I knew what I was doing. However, it worked, people can now leave comments! YES, mission complete. But, I lost the title in the process. I have realized now that I need professional help, so I have called for back-up. My hopes are that I will have a working title, and comments together in love on my blog. Keep your fingers crossed, and feel free to leave a comment.

We Like The Cars, The Cars That Go Boom...

L'Trimm - Cars that go Boom

Songs about cars, does it really get better than this? I think not! Actually, I use to roller-skate to this jam long before I could drive. Now I can listen to it in my car. :)
